The C scale has an index mark, corresponding to Faber's W mark for reading log-log scales which are not present on this rule. In addition there are gauge marks on the A & B scales, without labels, corresponding to the 28.7 and 746 gauge marks from an electro rule. It is believed all these marks are aberations, the scales originally being intended for a precursor to the model 368 electro rule.

Boxwood springs in the well, in the slide groove of the upper rail of the stock (DRGM 98350, 1898).
Left and right viewing cutouts with index marks, in back for reverse of slide.

High cursor grooves both cut parallel to front face.
Shallow rebate in back .
Front, well, top and bottom edges celluloid faced.
