AW Faber / Faber-Castell Slide Rule Catalogues

Detailed here are the few original AW Faber and Faber-Castell slide rule catalogues that I possess.

A.W. Faber "Castell" Precision Calculating Rules (1928, Ref. 0115/E)

This cataclogue instructions came with an AW Faber "Castell" electro rule dated 19?? (a similar rule can be seen here).

The catalogue is a 12 page stapled booklet measuring approx 7 1/4 x 10 3/8 inches, printed in black on light green paper. The front page has the identifiers "0115/E", "5000. IX. 28. R." and "Printed in Bavaria" on the top right, bottom left and bottom right respectively.

The front features the scales logo and company details at the top, followed by text of construction and care information for the slide rules.

Inside are 6 pages describing 26 slide rule models of various types with 13 illustrations. 10cm, 12.5cm, 25cm and 50cm scale lengths are featured, from 'Standard', 'Student', 'Reitz', 'Electrical', 'School', 'Advertisement' and several specialist ('Baur', 'Hohenner' and calliper cursor) scale types.

Next is a page of available cursors with illustrations - 1 line (2 types), 3 line (2 types), magnifying No 2 (3 types) and magnifying No 1 (1 type).

After this is a page describing 2 types of large demonstration slide rules with scale lengths of 39&fract12; and 79 inches.

Finally are 3 pages listing other A.W. Faber products; rulers, scales and pencils.

The condition is fragile and tatty; being torn with small pieces missing,although perfectly legible.
