§1 scale on upper stock rail (labelled n1) is a specialist index scale of throw weights in a juggling pattern.
§2 scale on slide (labelled n(wb)) is a specialist scale of throw weight and hold times in a juggling pattern, which uses the tick marks of the C scale below it.
§3 scale on lower stock rail (labelled q) is a two line, specialist scale for throw angles in a juggling pattern.

Construction

Stock:

Solid stock constructed from laminated 4mm thick mahogany strip to make well and slide and cursor grooves.
Square top and bottom edges.
Mid level cursor grooves.
Shallow rebate in back .
Front faced with 1mm Perspex.
Paper scales and Perspex fixed with clear double-sided tape and anchored with M1.2 machine screws, one each at left & right ends of upper stock rail, and two each at left & right ends of lower stock rail (6 in total).
Upper and lower rail widths respectively (mm) - 10 & 19.5
Fully varnished (excluding Perspex).

Constructed from laminated 4mm mahogany strip to form locating tongue.
Front faced with 1mm Perspex.
Paper scales and Perspex fixed with clear double-sided tape and anchored with M1.2 machine screws, one each at left & right ends (2 in total).
